ProcLog ("ProcLog," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a personal procedure-logging application published by C.A.R.E., designed for individual medical providers to document and organize their own professional experience records. This Privacy Policy explains what information ProcLog handles, how it is used, whether and how it is shared, and the choices available to you.
ProcLog has no account system, no login, and no developer-operated server. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing transmitted to us. The information ProcLog handles falls into two categories:
ProcLog does not collect account credentials, email addresses, passwords, analytics, advertising identifiers, or device diagnostics. The App contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising library of any kind.
All of the information above is stored locally on your device using your operating system's on-device storage. If you enable cloud backup, ProcLog additionally stores a backup of this same information in your own personal cloud account — your iCloud account on iOS, or your Google Drive account on Android — so your data can be restored if you get a new device. On Android this is optional and requires you to connect a Google account explicitly; the backup is written to a private application folder in your Drive, not to your visible Drive files. In either case the backup is created directly by your device communicating with Apple's or Google's service — it never passes through, or becomes visible to, C.A.R.E. or ProcLog's developer.
Subscription and purchase information. If you subscribe to ProcLog Pro, the purchase transaction is handled entirely by your platform's app store — Apple's App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android — through that store's in-app purchase system. ProcLog receives only a purchase/entitlement status (subscribed or not) from the platform's in-app purchase framework (Apple StoreKit or Google Play Billing), used solely to unlock unlimited logging — it never receives your name, email, or payment/card details, because neither store shares those with the app. Apple's or Google's own handling of your payment information is governed by their respective privacy policies, not this one.
Because ProcLog has no server and no account system, information is used exclusively to:
ProcLog does not use your information for advertising, does not build profiles about you, and does not use your information to train any model.
ProcLog does not sell information, and there is no third party for us to share it with — we do not operate servers that receive your data in the first place. Specifically:
ProcLog is designed as a personal professional tool for individual clinicians. Avoid entering unnecessary patient identifiers, and use the minimum information needed for your own documentation purposes — for example, a partial medical record number (MRN) rather than a full one, if your institution's policy allows. If you choose to enter patient-related information, you are solely responsible for ensuring you are permitted to do so under your workplace, professional, and legal obligations.
ProcLog is not represented as a covered entity, healthcare provider, electronic health record, or hospital credentialing platform, and is not provided on behalf of a hospital, clinic, health system, health plan, or other covered entity unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement.
Your log data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, or use the in-app "Delete account & data" feature. If cloud backup is enabled, a copy also persists in your personal cloud account until you delete it — either via "Delete account & data" in the app, or directly through your platform's own storage management (iCloud storage settings under your Apple ID on iOS, or your Google Account's app-data management on Android). C.A.R.E. retains none of your log data anywhere, at any time, because it never reaches us.
ProcLog applies security measures appropriate for sensitive clinical information, including:
No method of storage is completely immune to risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of a device that is lost, stolen, or compromised — enabling a device passcode and App Lock is strongly recommended.
Because your data lives on your device and in your own cloud account, you have direct, immediate control over it at all times — no request to us is required. Within the app you can view, edit, export, and permanently delete your data, including a full "Delete account & data" action that removes both the on-device copy and the cloud backup. For general questions, you may still contact us using the information in Section 11.
ProcLog is intended for licensed medical professionals, trainees, and adult healthcare professionals, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
ProcLog is currently intended for users in the United States. If the App later expands internationally, supplemental disclosures may apply based on local law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App.
